These quick prep steps make the difference between good results and incredible results.
Make sure your hair is completely dry. Brush through with a regular brush or comb to remove all tangles and knots. The GoBrush PRO works on dry hair only.
Wet or damp hair does not respond well to heated brushing. Starting with dry, tangle-free hair gives you a smooth, even result in fewer passes.
Pro Tip: If you have just washed your hair, let it air dry or blow-dry it first. The GoBrush PRO is a finishing and styling tool, not a blow-dryer replacement.
Power On: Press and hold the power button for a few seconds to turn the device on or off.

Too much heat on fine hair causes unnecessary damage. Too little heat on thick hair means more passes and less hold. Matching the setting to your hair type gives you the best result with the least effort.
160°C / 320°F — For soft, fine, or thin hair.
180°C / 356°F — For normal or wavy hair.
200°C / 392°F — For thick, strong, coarse, or coily hair.
Spray a light mist of heat protectant evenly through your hair. Focus on the mid-lengths and ends. Let it dry for 30 seconds.
Heat protectant adds a barrier between the bristles and your hair cuticle. It also boosts shine and reduces frizz. Daily users especially benefit from this step.
Pro Tip: Less is more. A heavy spray weighs hair down and takes longer to style. Two to three light spritzes are enough for most hair lengths.
Charging note: A full charge takes 2 to 3 hours via USB-C. A full battery gives you 30 to 45 minutes of continuous use — enough for 3 or more complete styling sessions. Check the LED display for battery level before you start. Also the device will not turn on when the charger is still plugged in. It can only work if it's not plugged in.
Start with the technique that matches the style you want. Each one takes 5 minutes or less.
Start at the nape of your neck. Separate your hair into small sections. Place the brush at the root and glide slowly from roots to tips in one smooth, steady motion. Use gentle, short strokes. Work through each section, moving from the back of your head toward the front. Repeat on the other side.
Working in small sections ensures every strand gets even contact with the heated bristles. Starting from the nape means you style the hardest-to-reach sections first, while you have the most patience.
Pro Tip: Slow down. The number one beginner mistake is moving the brush too fast. One slow pass gives a better result than three fast ones.

Take a section of hair at the crown. Place the brush underneath the section, close to the roots. Lift the brush upward at a 45-degree angle and hold for 2 to 3 seconds before gliding through to the tips. Repeat on each section where you want volume.
Lifting from underneath creates natural body and bounce at the roots. This is the technique that makes hair look styled rather than just straightened.

Once you have worked through all sections, do one final sweep from the top of your head down to the tips. Use long, continuous strokes. Let the negative ion technology do its work. This pass is about sealing in the smoothness and adding shine.
The final sweep smooths the outer layer of hair (the cuticle) and locks in the negative ions that reduce frizz and static. It is the difference between styled hair and salon-finished hair.

Take a section of hair and wrap it loosely around the curved edge of the brush. Hold for 3 to 5 seconds. Release gently and let the wave fall naturally. Alternate the direction of the curl on each section for a more natural look.

Moving the brush too fast, using a heat setting that is too low for your hair type, or starting with damp hair.
Slow down your strokes. One slow pass is better than three fast ones. Move up one heat setting if you are on the lowest. Make sure hair is completely dry before you start. If frizz is persistent, try a light heat protectant spray before styling.

Always detangle with a regular brush or comb before using the GoBrush PRO. Use gentle, steady pressure. The heated bristles do the work; you do not need to press hard. Work in smaller sections if your hair is thick or very curly.

Move up one heat setting. After your final pass, leave your hair untouched for 30 seconds to let it cool and set. Avoid running your fingers through it immediately. For extra hold, finish with a light-hold hairspray.
Hair, dust, and product residue build up between the bristles over time. Use a small cleaning brush or a dry cloth to gently remove debris after every few uses. Clean bristles heat more evenly and glide more smoothly.
